Tia Nova is a dynamic singer/songwriter from Barrie, Ontario, known for her captivating voice and flexible blend of various genres like pop, pop rock, alternative, and musical theatre. Inspired by artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Hayley Williams, and Lauren Spencer Smith, Tia uses music as a powerful outlet to express herself and connect with audiences. As a singer-songwriter, actor, and talk show host, Tia has showcased her talents on various stages, including local venues like The Rec Room, Grillicious, and around the Barrie waterfront, and a singer in the 2024 Canadian Musicians Cooperative Showcase which toured in Barrie, Bradford, and Meaford as a Pre-Professional artist in the Canadian Musicians Cooperative, and more. With musical successes including placing 3rd in the Junior Pop Vocalist category at OMFA provincials in 2023, a nominee for the Emerging Artist Award at the 2024 Barrie Arts Award, a performer in 2024 YOUTH DAY GLOBAL, a finalist for Canada’s Teen Jam in February 2025, and memorable singing and acting roles, blending music with storytelling, such as Gabriella Montez in "High School Musical JR", a member of the Chorale in the "Lost Heroes of Oro" at the Elgin Theatre, and Tara in “Nino and His Shadow”, Tia continues to captivate with her heartfelt performances and dedication to her childhood dream of becoming a pop star.
